PLATO CALENDAR: A Convenient Calendar Tool for PLATO Users
PLATO CALENDAR is a calendar tool designed specifically for users of the PLATO smart education platform at Busan National University. This program allows users to create and manage their schedules within the PLATO platform. It is important to note that the calendar does not sync in real-time with the PLATO server to reduce server load. Therefore, the schedules displayed in the calendar may not always be up-to-date or accurate.
The main features of PLATO CALENDAR include the ability to create a calendar at the top of the PLATO interface and synchronize the schedule content with PLATO. The synchronization process takes approximately 5-10 seconds and is performed at least once every minute. Additionally, if an hour has passed since the last synchronization, it will be automatically performed again. The program also organizes the synchronized schedule content into an easy-to-read list, categorized by date and type (assignments, lectures, in-person classes, and completed schedules). Each schedule entry in the list displays the course name, schedule name, deadline, and remaining time.
PLATO CALENDAR also provides the option to navigate to the submission or viewing URL for each schedule by selecting it from the list. Furthermore, it offers the ability to show or hide schedules based on their type, allowing users to differentiate between different types of schedules more clearly.
Please note that all information is stored within the Chrome extension and will be deleted if the extension or Chrome itself is reinstalled.
Overall, PLATO CALENDAR is a useful tool for PLATO users at Busan National University, providing a convenient way to manage their schedules within the PLATO platform.
